Carolyn's riding background is very extensive as she rode in most discplines starting at a young age in the Ryburn Valley Pony Club in Yorkshire UK.
As a young adult she studied at the Fulmer School of Equitation, in Castleford UK with dressage instructors Robert Hall and Liz Brown. With access to many European Trainers they greatly influenced her philosophy on riding with focus on biomechanics and positive reinforcement which has attributed to great success both in and out of the competition arena, dressage and vaulting.
Carolyn has consistently found success in the dressage and the vaulting world throughout the years. She has been a part of every Team USA since 2000, and holds an FEI Gold and Bronze medal. Carolyn is on the USEF High Performance Committee, and is VP of Education for the American Vaulting Association.
Currently coaching both Dressage students and vaulting athletes to success. Carolyn finds that the fast track for young riders and adult amateurs is to vault and ride, the combination is invaluable as balance, harmony and independent seats are developed first.
